Our Goats
Our goal is to raise quality, registered, Nubian goats.
We currently only have one doe that should be registered, but her registration application was lost in our house fire. Sadly, because of this, she is unable to be registered. We have a small herd of a mixture of goats. We have a mini Lamancha buck, our un-registered Nubian doe, a Nubian/Alpine or Toggenburg cross doe, her doe, a mini Nubian/Nubian/Alpine or Toggenburg, and a Pygmy doe. Yes, we only have the one Nubian, but we will not part with the rest of the herd. No matter what, they will produce milk, and milk is our primary reason for raising the goats. Of course we do not need any bucks out of the does we currently own, so the bucklings will be used to feed our family in "other" ways.
The pictures above show 2 of our does. One of them IS in a tree, eating leaves. She had no qualms about climbing 20 feet in the air to get to the new leaves the tree had to offer, and she didn't have to share.
We will be shopping for a herd sire this Spring. We are going to look for a Purebred, Registered Nubian buckling. Of course I will also be looking to purchase a couple of Purebred Nubian doelings this Spring as well.
